idek.

I don’t even know.

IMO, Japan’s going to be like the Touma trip to Poland and Prague, just with less Holmdel people and a whole lot more Asians. Who are speaking in a language that I know probably…oh, 5%. Seriously. The only thing I can do is read manga…really really slowly as I reach for the Japanese-English Dictionary right by my bedside. Just kidding, who reads manga in bed?! Haha that’s what she said.

But yeah. I’m kind of really scared now. Like I said I was nervous on Monday, but now I’m like freaking freaked out. I also have to utilize this time to do some of my homework, including On Writing Well (which is an interesting book, just that it sucks to read a book written about writing). Oh, and my college essays; I should at least get a rough down for the three main topics I’m planning.

Mmmm I want to know my grades for my finals that I took today. I kind of spent yesterday reading manga (Mx0 omg it was good until the abrupt ending that happened 50 chapters too early) until 1am, then I decided to study by typing up the objectives to Dante (aka copy paste). T__T

But the Dante test actually went pretty well? It was like a McDonald test; crazy term identification, obscure quotation identification, two hugeeee essays (one of which was a choice). I finished in about an hour and a half, which was all good because I needed like twenty million bajillion hours to study for Management (so much for reading the book).

Ugh I don’t even know how Management went. =___= I like made up half of the multiple choice lawllll. At least I got to see that god-awful expensive book; I got like 55% back, and that was like $60.25. Shows how expensive course books are. =|

Going to go play tennis for the last time in California,

Japan

Wow I’m really nervous right now. This is the first time I’m going to be traveling alone. Even though it’s only for a week; I don’t even know how Horace stayed like for a month or more in Beijing T__T; w/e w/e w/e.

So instead of studying for my two finals (pshaw, they’re on Wednesday; I have time tomorrow), I decided to type up a gigantic itinerary that’s four pages long. I think I pretty much got everything covered; from what I’m doing day-to-day, to lists of people for whom I’m going to buy souvenirs. Pretty lengthy document.

I’m nowhere as adept at riding the subway and train as I should be. Blame suburban Holmdel or the dirty NYC metro. Regardless, I want to go to…Akihabara, Shibuya, Tokyo Tower, and visit Shinjuku (where my hotel is). I’m prepared to eat one good meal a day (dinner yaaaaaaaaaaaaay), and I want to eat okonomiyaki SOOOO badly. xD Well, one good meal as in one that I want to eat; not breakfast, because I think that’s provided by the hotel I’m staying at. I kind of wish I weren’t staying at a classy hotel and instead at a ryokan. However, the ryokans were all booked by the time we got around to reserving and whatnot, so my dad was like I’m just booking a 4-star. gah so much money.

Well that’s okay; at least I know I’m spending less than $10/person on souvenirs. That shouldn’t be too bad; Sensoji Temple has really cheap and tourist-y souvenirs, and Kappabashi Street right next to it has a buncha souvenirs at bargain price. What I want to do is buy engrish shirts. Shinjuku, here we come. Haha I also wanna watch Gake no Ue no Ponyo, which is Miyazaki’s new film (came out July 25th? I think). Although I heard Japanese tickets are like superrr expensive. Eh.

Ahhh I’m so excited!!! So nervous at the same time!
