Big Bang.
My inspiration.
Five guys who are only three or four years older than me (one of them only half a year older than me), all working hard to pursue their dreams.
They’re not academically gifted; however, their drive and their motivation far surpasses anyone’s.
They’re not just a team; they’re a close-knit part of YG Family. They’re not just a boy band; they’re a musical group. Each one of them has his own talent; yet he can incorporate it into part of the group’s uniqueness. They aren’t just music artists; they’re actors, dancers, poets, comedians, models…the list goes on.
Their music is so uplifting; even their ballads are soothing and optimistic. Their lyrics are pure. Even their English songs have a degree of depth; they have a way with words. Each song sounds different from the next; each song has its own detail.
Big Bang just doesn’t stick with one style; they aren’t afraid to experiment. They’re not being music artists just to make money; they are always trying to seek a different way to the top. They never hesitate to surprise others with their uniqueness and versatility. Even though they have become irrationally famous, they still remain modest and persevere.
I think even if I didn’t idolize them, I would still give them a strong amount of respect for turning around the music image in Korea. Unlike some other Korean boy bands, Big Bang does promotions not only for their company and their name, but also for themselves. They aren’t afraid to show their personality. They’re not all attractive; they’re not marketed for their faces. Nor do many of them have beautiful voices; rather, their natural passion shows in their less-than-perfect, baritone/bass songs. They’ve achieved their own style by loving others.
I wish I could find my motivation somewhere. This motivation has to be concentrated, big enough so I can grasp it forever. This motivation has to not only be explosive; it also has to last.
The meaning of Big Bang. Pure inspiration, pure motivation, that will change the music world and still affect it in years to come.
The universe is ever-expanding.
